Special Needs Project
For a developing country like Malawi meeting the needs of children with challenges such as cerebral palsy is difficult. In 2014 we were approached by Memory who asked us if there was anything we could do to help him begin to address some of the needs in his community. Initial research indicated that in the Namilongo area there were several families who needed assistance.
We have had a great response from individuals in York as well as York Rotary Ainsty and the Accomplish Trust. As a result an initial community building has been renovated and improved to start the project. York Rotary Ainsty are supporting training of volunteers in the short term and longer term a specialist.
